• Double Dipping

Estimate the size of a load for double dipping based on kettle size.

            Double Dipping

This calculator estimates the size of a load for double dipping based on your kettle size.
Note the allowances to be made in the kettle dimensions that minimize kettle damage.
The calculator allows for the overlap.
All of these adjustments result in a conservative estimate of what can be double dipped.

      Kettle Dimension Adjustments
Deduct 12 inches from kettle length to keep the load from striking the end of the kettle.
Deduct 2 inches from kettle depth to allow for zinc freeboard.
Deduct 6 inches from kettle depth to allow for dross.
Deduct 6 inches from Zinc level to allow for dross.

Enter actual kettle dimensions and then adjust as noted above or use your own adjustments
and enter in the Adjusted Kettle Dimensions input boxes.
